What is the difference between virgin polycarbonate and recycled polycarbonate?

I will teach you the basics about virgin polycarbonate and recycled polycarbonate, which you may think you know but actually don't.

Virgin polycarbonate (virgin resin) refers to high-purity polycarbonate produced from bisphenol A at a virgin manufacturer's plant. Recycled polycarbonate (recycled resin) refers to polycarbonate that is recycled from waste products, etc., during the molding process using virgin material at an injection molding factory (resin processing company). Sustainable plastic materials and recycled resins contribute to CO2 reduction.

Would you like to try using recycled plastic as part of your efforts towards the SDGs? *Test data available.

Our company is equipped with one of the largest facilities in Japan as a pellet manufacturer of recycled polycarbonate, PPS, and PEEK resins. This document verifies the CO2 emissions of polycarbonate pellets with a 100% recycled material usage rate, "R-10 to 75," and polyphenylene sulfide pellets, "RS-1340," primarily made from industrial waste plastics. We present the results of this verification. We provide an easy-to-understand table featuring the life cycle impact assessment results, waste-related information, and the components related to materials and substances. [Contents] ■ Life Cycle Impact Assessment Results ■ Life Cycle Inventory Analysis Related Information ■ Components Related to Materials and Substances ■ Waste-Related Information ■ Additional Information on Calculation Results ■ Other Environmental-Related Information ■ Considerations for Secondary Data Used *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
